Desert Door Distillery

After following them for a few years, I finally made it out to Driftwood, Texas! I was introduced to their sotol through a private dining experience at Harold's Houston, and ever since then, I fell in love. Their ambiance is great! We had live music while there and were even able to visit their store and bought a few treasures. Their service was incredible. We were a party of 6: 3 gals and 3 doggos. Yes, they are pet friendly! Next time, I will definitely look into one of their tours. I can't wait to go back and try more items on their menu!

Had been wanting to come here for a while and we finally made it. We stopped by on a Friday and found out they only do the TOURS on Saturday and Sunday so that was disappointing - just a heads up for everyone who wants the tour and is planning a trip over there. We stayed and ordered some food from the food truck there - I love love love all their options! Wish I could’ve tried more items there but we will be back. We tried the: Street Beets Rackhouse Dog Sweet Potato Fries (try them ‘con todo’ 👌) Everything was delicious 🤤 We also had a Sotol Flight & a few cocktails 🥃🍹 5 stars for their Old Fashioned alone, we were not a fan of the sangria (ended up pouring some of the Sotol flight in it to make it better). Over all I really enjoyed our lunch there. The customer service was great! They were definitely busy but everyone had a smile on their face. We could not leave without some souvenirs and brought home a few bottles and a gift set for our friends. Definitely worth the drive and highly recommend this Distillery ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Shout out to the Manager Alyssa, she made us feel welcomed as soon as we sat down she came and gave us the spill about this place which left me wanting the Tour even more.

Excellent staff. Friendly and attentive. Drinks/flights are reasonably priced. We took the paid distillery tour with Chandra (I think that was her name). She was knowledgeable and energetic about the sotol and the company. We learned a lot and even sampled some of the sotol. Would recommend. On top of that, the food truck had delicious bites and quick service. We will be back whenever we’re in the area. Definitely worth the trip from the ATX OR SATX area.

20 out of 5 stars! A sotol distillery singularity in the US, this place left us with an amazing memory and a desire to revisit and drink more sotol. The staff is extremely knowledgeable about the sotol history, uses, and harvest style which is done in the wild (BUT in a very considerate and sustainable way!). I highly recommend this place to anyone who is in search of the type of adventure that provides a glimpse through the door into the desert! 😉🥃
